What is sugaring!?

Sugaring  is  an  ancient  Egyptian  method  of  hair  removal  using  100%  natural  paste  made  of  sugar,  lemon,  and  water.  This  freehand  method  is  hygienic  for  all  skin  types  and  sensitivities!

Your  Esthetician  will  apply  the  sugar  by  hand  against  the  hair’s  natural  growth  so  that  when  the  hair  is  removed  in  a  flicking  motion  its  pulled  out  by  the  root  in  the  natural  direction  of  hair  growth.  This  drastically  reduces  the  occurrence  of  hair  breakage  and  ingrown  hairs!

FAQs

Q:  Does  Sugaring  hurt?

A:  Though  not  painless,  sugaring  tends  to  be  considerably  less  painful  than  waxing  as  the  paste  does  not  adhere  to  live  skin  cells,  and  is  removed  in  the  natural  direction  of  hair  growth  which drastically  reduces  the  occurrence  of  ingrowns

Q:  How  long  does  my  hair  need  to  be?

A:  1/4”  -  about  the  length  of  a grain  of  white  rice,  usually  2  weeks  since  your  last  shave

Q:  Does  my  hair  grow  back  darker  and  coarser?

A;  On  the  contrary!  Sugar  removes  hair  from  the  root,  discouring  hair  growth.  Regular  appointments noticeably  reduces  hair  growth,  taking  longer  to  appear,   and  is  considerably  thinner.

Q:  What  if  I’m  uncomfortable baring  myself  in  front  of  someone  I  just  met?

A:  Totally  understandable!  A  lot  of  clients  start  out  feeling  that  way!  Start  with  something  like  legs,  underarms,  or  arms,  and  once  you  see  what  its  like  to  be  here,  you’ll  feel  much  more  at  ease  booking  your  brazilian!
